Fig Cuttings

Непрочетено мнение от maxiii » 06 яну 2017, 10:26

Hello all,
my name is Max, I am from Germany (Zone 8a according to plantmaps) and recently bought a Michurinska-10 and two Kiwis in February last year and also a Dalmatie and two pomegranate (Sort 1 and Wonderful) in July from your nursery in Plovdiv. I am very satisfied with the quality of the plants, the Michurinska was planted in ground in May and already fruited with 5 small figs last summer! Delicious :)

Now to my question:
I received some cuttings (4 varietes, two of them I got 2 cuttings, mostly unknown, 6 cuttings altogether) from a friend from the USA and my plan was to root them by myself in Germany. However, because of a personal change of plans (moving to Spain for 5 months for my course of studies) I will not be able to care for them.

Could I send the cuttings to your nursery and you root them for me? I will be in Bulgaria this year starting either Beginning of July or August and could pick them up at your nursery (I love BG by the way ;)) They are currently kept cool and wrapped in a moist paper towel to avoid drying out. It would be a shame to let them go to waste, since they have had a long way already!

Thank you,
Max

Hi Max, sure you can send the cuttings. Not a big deal for 6 cuttings so I could do it for you. But you should wait for a week or so, until this arctic blast goes away. Until then, just keep the cuttins damp in a cool place above freezing. A fridge is ideal.

Hey Kiril,
thank you so much! That really means a lot to me :)
Where should I send them to? To the nursery itself and addressed to you?
